Have you ever thought that in everyday life you are unknowingly performing various online tasks that are considered as illegal on cyber world. Just take a moment, sit silently and recall what you are doing all day long in your smartphones, tablets and PCs.

CAN YOU GUESS SOME OF THOSE TASK YOU THINK TO BE ILLEGAL..

I will make it easier for you.

Consider some examples here:

  1. Downloading movies, songs without subscription from any site.

  2. Downloading pirated software from internet so that you don't have to pay for the subscription price. Software piracy is an illegal reproduction of an software for personal use or distribution.

  3. Copying copy write protected content from internet like text, images, videos, data, etc. without permission of original creator or without providing reference.

All these act are considered to be violation of Intellectual Property(IP) Right or simply copy write. IP is the rights given to the creator for his/her original innovative work. It include well-known types of copy write, patent, trademarks and trade secrets. Any use of these content without permission of the creator is a cyber crime.

Shoulder Surfing, the act of spying on the end user of a any machine like computer, mobile, ATM, etc. to acquire some Personal Identifiable Information(PII), passwords, etc. You won't believe that looking on someone's screen without the permission is another sort of cyber crime.

Now this is most common among the youth. Are you there always trying to guess password to connect to your neighbor's WI-FI for getting free internet at no cost and somehow you get the password either by hacking into the system or by social engineering methods.

Happiness is at next level.... RIGHT?

But before you try again to connect to any other's ISP, be aware of fact that it is referred as Internet Time Theft and is a cyber crime.

And of course, when you create some logic bomb or small virus and execute in your friend's PC or upload it over internet, just for some fun, is also an malpractice in cyber world.

Most of the malpractice are done in fun. Everyone has to understand that although you may have no intention to harm someone but a small mistake may let you pay hard.

Talking about the current situation, where fake news spreads like a wood's fire, everyone need to be away from that but those who are forwarding any of the social network news, message without checking the authenticity of it are unknowingly indulging themselves in a cyber crime.

Please note that forwarding the fake news is illegal and you may have imprisonment.

Whenever you are stalking anyone online, or harassing someone or threatening someone, you are again in risk. Make sure not to make joke of anyone online. It is categorized under cyber stalking and again it is a crime.

One more thing, all those fraud account anyone create over social sites for any purpose, is a illegal activity.

Getting aware of this, now you yourself can understand what is good and what is bad for yourself and I don't think some tips have to be provided now. Prevent yourself from indulging in such crimes and live a happy life.

Being a responsible citizen, it is mandatory for all of us to act smart, not foolish.
